Rules on the phone

A short set of rules. We already screened the numbers.

Already done for you

UK marketing calls have to respect the Telephone Preference Service and the Corporate TPS. We screen every number before it reaches you. You do not need your own screening tool.

If a number should not have been given to you, move on and say so in the notes. Do not "just try".

The law

  • Say your name and J.V. Automations at the start.
  • Show a real number they can call back. No hidden caller ID.
  • Be straight. Do not say you are a local engineer, a customer, or "just following up on your enquiry" if you are not.
  • Live conversation only. Do not play a recorded pitch.
  • No cold texts and no cold WhatsApp. Phone only, unless they ask you to email or message after a real conversation.

How we sell

  • Never force the next step. Offer it, give them an easy way to say no, and wait.
  • Never assume the problem. Ask, then put a number on what they just said.
  • Never change the price.
  • One honest question after a reflex "not interested". If they say it again, leave.
  • If they never open up after one honest question, leave.
  • No fake scarcity. One fake claim and they stop believing the real ones.
  • No fear without a fix. If you name a loss, show the next step.
  • Don't sound like you need the sale. Calm beats eager.
  • Do not promise anything that was not agreed.
