Commission and handoff

What you earn, when it's paid, and what "closed" means.

The 50%

You earn 50% of the setup fee on deals you close. On the standard offer that is $3,750 of the $7,500 install.

The $997 monthly fee stays with the company. That is what pays for Josiah to run and support the system after the install.

Commission is paid after the client pays the setup fee. A verbal yes with no payment is not a paid commission yet. Keep the relationship warm until Josiah confirms the money has landed, but do not count it as paid.

What "closed" means

  • The owner agreed to $7,500 install and $997 a month.
  • The details are filled in.
  • Josiah has the note, the same day.

Do not send a handoff on a maybe. Your job ends at a clean handoff. A number only ever goes to one rep. If an owner says someone from J.V. has already called, tell Josiah.

Handing over

What you say to the owner

Josiah installs it. I'll send him the notes from today — the missed calls, the evening gap, and that you want it in [time]. He'll be in touch about the setup. Anything else you need from me before I pass it over?
